N-Acetyl L-Cysteine or NAC is the acetylated form of the amino acid L-Cysteine. It has a high antioxidant capacity because it contains a thiol (-SH) group.
This form of cysteine is very stable and is used to reduce oxidative stress very effectively. N-Acetyl L-Cysteine crosses the cell membrane and exerts its effect inside the cell, reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and protecting the body from environmental toxins and the harmful effects of alcohol and tobacco. It also has other very important properties and benefits for the body:

Excellent quality product, purchased instead of a much more expensive brand equivalent. My use of it was related to the intestinal environment (in this regard, the repeatable 300 mg daily dose is excellent compared to others that produce 600 mg capsules), but I have noticed benefits even in the more traditional use for the respiratory tract.
